ABOUT KAREN LOUISE

Remembering Who
We Truly Are

My own relationship with plant medicines has deepened my reverence for their potential — not as a cure, but as a catalyst for greater awareness, connection, and spiritual growth. I approach this work with deep reverence, humility, and a commitment to ongoing self-reflection, as well as a deep belief that healing is both personal and collective.

I am deeply committed to social justice and believe that healing is inseparable from the cultural, historical, and systemic contexts in which we live. I strive to create an inclusive, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where all parts of you are welcome.

I believe integration looks different for everyone. There is no right way, no finish line, and no one who heals alone. We are all learning, remembering, and becoming together. It is my privilege to walk alongside others as they discover their own path toward greater wholeness, meaning, and embodied wisdom.

THE NAME

I chose the name Soul Star Sage because it reflects the heart of my work and the values that guide it.

Why Soul Star Sage?

Soul Star

The Soul Star comes from certain spiritual and energy traditions, where it is described as the eighth, or transpersonal, chakra — an energy center believed to exist just above the crown of the head. It is often associated with our connection to something greater than ourselves, whether that is Spirit, the Divine, nature, universal consciousness, or our highest Self.

The Soul Star is said to represent intuition, expanded consciousness, spiritual awakening, and a deeper connection to the sacred. For some, this is experienced as a connection to higher realms or a deeper sense of the mystery and interconnectedness of life. For me, it symbolizes remembering the wisdom that already lives within us while opening ourselves to the possibility that we are part of something much larger than ourselves.

Sage

Sage represents the wise elder and the wisdom that grows through lived experience, humility, and compassion. It honors the Indigenous elders, ancestors, and wisdom keepers who have carried sacred plant medicine traditions across generations, as well as the many cultures around the world that have long recognized the healing and spiritual significance of sacred plants.

A Little Woo

And because I get to be a little woo here… 😊 In some spiritual traditions, the Soul Star Chakra is cultivated through meditation by quieting the mind and visualizing white or golden light flowing through the crown and into the body. Some people also enjoy working with crystals such as clear quartz, selenite, or amethyst during meditation, as a way to deepen their sense of connection, presence, and spiritual practice.

Together, Soul Star Sage reflects the belief that healing is both an inward journey and an outward practice. We reconnect with ourselves, cultivate greater presence and self-trust, and carry that wisdom back into our relationships, our communities, and the world.

Because ultimately, healing isn’t just about feeling better. It’s about remembering who we are, embodying what we’ve learned, and living with greater love, purpose, and connection.
